Purpose of the Role

The Programme Associate – Awareness & Events plays a critical role in the on-ground implementation of the Foundation’s awareness, outreach, and engagement initiatives. The role focuses on community mobilisation, event coordination, student outreach, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen programme visibility, participation, and impact. The Programme Associate acts as a key link between programme planning and execution—working closely with communities, internal teams, and partners to ensure that awareness activities and events are delivered with quality, sensitivity, and alignment to organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Implementation & Event Coordination: Support the Programme Manager in planning and executing awareness campaigns, workshops, and events as per defined timelines and SOPs. Coordinate logistics for on-ground and off-site events including venues, participants, partners, and volunteers. Track, document, and report programme progress, challenges, and learnings.
  • Community Outreach & Mobilisation: Lead outreach activities to engage PwIDDs, caregivers, institutions, and community stakeholders through field visits and awareness sessions. Support mobilization for programme enrolments, workshops, and public events. Coordinate with the Communications team to amplify outreach.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships: Liaise with schools, NGOs, corporates, RWAs, and local institutions to support awareness initiatives. Maintain relationships with external stakeholders to ensure sustained engagement and support representation at community events, fairs, and public forums.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting: Support data collection and documentation for awareness and event-based programmes. Maintain participant attendance, engagement records, and feedback. Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly internal reports and donor-facing documentation, ensuring accurate data entry into MIS systems.
  • Communications & Visibility Support: Share photographs, stories, testimonials, and insights from events with the Communications team. Support content requirements for newsletters, social media, donor updates, and the Annual Report while capturing impact narratives from beneficiaries.
  • Administrative & Operational Support: Support administrative processes related to event planning, permissions, documentation, and compliance. Assist the Programme Manager with reporting and due diligence requirements while ensuring adherence to safeguarding, inclusion, and organizational protocols.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Education, Sustainability, Social Work, or related fields.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of relevant work experience is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in programme implementation, awareness campaigns, events, or community mobilization is highly preferred.

Benefits

  • Mission-driven Work: Be part of a purpose-led organization where your work directly contributes to social change.
  • Learning & Development: Opportunities to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions to excel in your role.
  • Diverse Workforce: An inclusive, collaborative team culture with professionals from multiple sectors.
  • 360 Growth: A positive, supportive work environment with strong mentorship and guidance.
  • Downtime & Wellbeing: Thoughtfully planned time off to support rest and maintain a healthy work–life balance.
  • People-first Culture: Regular team bonding activities, an open-door policy, and an emphasis on personal growth.
